Should I take part in a clinical trial?

As you make your treatment decisions, you may want to think about joining a clinical trial.

Clinical trials study new ways of treating or following a health condition. The benefits and risks of the different ways may not be understood yet. Researchers check on patients who take part in a trial.

Most of the standard treatments were first studied in clinical trials.

Look at all your options, including clinical trials. You are taking an active role in a decision that impacts your life. Participating in a clinical trial is completely voluntary.
